I will have a look at Gardeners Corner forum and see if I can register with the same or similar username (which is actually pretty much my real-life name/initials).
I would join a Whatsapp group (if invited) but not facebook (I started setting up an account once, but there were too many questions to which the answer is "none of your business" but that wasn't an option!).

Edit: Done - my username on Gardeners Corner is JennyJB. If anyone on there wants to try out sending PMs, feel free - I'll look back in sometime this evening.

How is Gardeners Corner (wot! no apostrophe! 😱) funded?  Do we know who runs it?  🙂  Just wondering.

Well, bummer.  I haven't been able to find any really active US based forums, which is why I joined this one.  Everyone has been very tolerant of me, and I appreciate that.  I'm not a social media person, so back under my rock I go.

I, like many of us, are extremely sad to see the end of an active forum, but what grieves me more is the loss of the archived posts. These contain a vast amount of priceless gardening knowledge, advice and inspiration.

Is there any way we could lobby to keep the archive content available and ideally searchable via the main GW forum? Not too much to ask, surely?
That's a very good point.  It would cost next to nothing to maintain the threads as a "view only" resource.

    ‘View Only’ exactly!

Anyone got a direct line to KM that could ask for us? @Dovefromabove?

Just had a look on GC and it says once you choose a username you can't change it. Not sure if that is always the case?
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus
