    Thank folks … especially @Badly_Maintained … I might quote you sometime šŸ˜‰ šŸ‘Ā

Ive got an appointment with a GP Tuesday at 9am to check my neck. šŸ‘Ā

And I’ve been for a drive in the Mazda and think I’ve got the hang of most of it … the vital stuff anyway … and I quite like Jazz FM so changing radio stations isn’t vital šŸ˜‚Ā

Now I’ll have a quick lunch and go to the farm shop …

Afternoon all.Ā  Have been awol for a few days, tied up in planning, costings etc. etc.Ā  My co coordinator and I are working flat out at the moment, not helped by someone booking a different performer into the church plonk into something we had planned.Ā  They neglected to book out the whole weekend for our Festival.Ā  So a bit of juggling required.
Had a quick flick through all the posts I've missed.Ā  Glad @punkdoc is getting out and about but he ought not to be attempting anything in the snow.Ā  @D0rdogne_Damsel's new beau sounds lovely.Ā  French is the language of love, so I'm sure you'll do just fine!
And - oh - @Dovefromabove - there were you having a cricked neck then wallop!Ā  I do hope there is no lasting damage.Ā  But sad your car was a write-off - you haven't had it that long!
@Coccinella - hope all is well with you.Ā

Back from the farm shop … the car boot opens and closes itself. There’s a reversing camera and the wing mirrors warn you if there’s someone coming up behind in the lane you want to move into. Ideal for someone with a cricked neck … and sadly it is worse than it was yesterday … not horrendous but I’m hoping the GP will prescribe some physio … our GP Practice is very keen on physio. šŸ‘Ā

i think it’s coming up to 4 years since I bought the Alfa MiTo @didyw … doesn’t seem possible does it? Ā Ā

So now you can put juggling skills on your CV @didyw … šŸŽŖ šŸ˜‰Ā

Car sounds good @Dovefromabove, but I'm intrigued by the wing mirrors, have they got tiny lights that flash as a warning?Ā  I'd love to have a boot that shuts itself as I'm now having to stretch on tiptoe to shut ours. Sorry to hear that your neck is troublesome. I wondered if the new NHS app has a videoĀ  you could access for neck exercises?

I've been looking at a catalogue for garden sundries etc and contemplating making a small fruit cage 4' x 4' x 4' for raspberries, using aluminium poles, plus netting. Anybody else done the same? I'm not sure how one would access the ripe raspberries though, roll the netting to one side perhaps?

I thought you hadn't posted for a while @didyw, hope all your planning hard work is successful.Ā

Think we'll have an easy meal of a ready made Quiche Lorraine tonight, I feel quite tired now our visitor has gone home.

Yes … little warning lights on the wing mirrors @Lizzie27  😊 Also I had reversing sensors with the Megane, but this one has a reversing/parking camera so I can reverse park or do 3 point turns etc without twisting my head around to see what I’m doing… I just watch the screen in front of me as I turn the wheel. That may be commonplace to some but it’s very impressive to me. … Better not get too used to it 🤪

Evening folks. The horrible rain has subsided at last. Can’t see a dry day for drying washing any time soon though- maybe tomorrow morning, but it will be cold so unless bright sun I won’t bother. I might have to dust off the tumble drier at this rate. I rarely use it but might be worth the few pounds to run it and get some bedding/towels done.Ā

Enjoy: quiche, self-closing boot, Spring flowers, new flames, better weather…

Go easy with: working hard, hard weather, hard times, hard luck.Ā

I'm so sorry to read that you've had an accident @Dovefromabove and that your car and your neck have suffered. What an idiot that young man is! I hope your neck is OK. Sad about your car.

We've had a fairly awful day going to Wandsworth to apply for OH's French Visa. Thanks to all who voted Brexit. I drove the first part of the journey, tipped with rain, loads of traffic, first rush hour then the M25 and more loads of traffic. OH took over driving half way. Took 4 hours. Then OH spent 3 1/2 hours at the Visa place, mostly waiting in queues, only hard backless seats provided. He saw various different personnel and had his fingerprints and a photo taken. He gave in his sheaf of paperwork and his passport. I just hope they send it back in time for our journey back to France mi-March.

I had a better time than OH as I went to Sainsbugs and bought stuff like Marmite and Yorkshire tea to take back to my children in France. I also went to Next and bought a couple of tops and a pair of jeans. I was glad I bought sandwiches and drinks in Sainsbugs as OH hadn't had anything since coffee in bed early in the morning.

The journey back was more of a nightmare, congestion, accidents on the M25. We couldn't take the exit we wanted as the road was closed. Luckily we found out first via the traffic news so we were able to take the A1 instead. Also it was dark most of the way. It took another 4 hours. I was glad I had an easy meal to pop in the oven when we returned home. Also raspberries and cream from Sainsbugs. OH has gone to bed.

Sorry to hear you both had such a difficult day @Busy-Lizzie šŸ˜ž hope it didn’t stop you settling and sleeping well.Ā
