  When I was a callow yoof, I used to have toasted double decker sandwiches at a weekend - the favourite was a layer of toasted cheese and tomato with a layer of runny fried egg and marmite. Gorgeous.

  Try it - it's like fish sauce in stuff - it smells disgusting, but it just adds that umami bit.
