Im not saying that anything that has been discussed on the forum  deserves censorship per se … I’m just pointing out that there are laws that GW cannot ignore.Â
I don’t even think it’s to do with raised temperatures and aggressive replies which have almost always been removed in the past.Â
My perception is (and I may of course be wrong … it has been known) that the Editor’s recent announcement was triggered by objections to posts about the situation in the Middle East. Sensitivities have been heightened hugely of late. I presume some folk felt that there was an element of racism in some of the posts and made objections to the management which could not be legally ignored.  The objections may well have been made by folk who rarely or never post on the forum.Â

But you keep ignoring my point. What was contentious about my post on Brexit? Brexit was about Europe wasn't it? Can I mention Rwanda? Boat people? China? Russia?
Why was it any more contentious than what I said about XL Bullies? IF it is about law and not offensiveness, then how does that fit? AND if it is about law why not address the post and not the thread?
If it politics, in any shape or form, you can't mention it, those is the rules. The rules are wrong, but they are the rules. You then have to decide whether this is a place you want to be. I notice some of the other gardening forums do not have the same restrictions, but just remove posts if they overstep the mark.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

My bold and italics.
The issues being in the definition of what then is political. Can I talk about XL bullies? Rwanda/immigrants? Lying? China? Brexit (obviously not in some contexts)?
Or does it come to to some form of thought police? Does it come down to what someone perceives as offensive or political to them and then flags for moderation?
Oh well - the ironing beckons (although I can't affords the electricity to run the iron - oops is that a contentious political statement?).
Talking of electricity, did you see that some people with solar panels and batteries are using cheap overnight electricity to charge their batteries, and then using that cheap(er) electricity during the day. Why does that seems so unfair to me? But money makes money.

I don’t know @steveTu … I have no idea which post you’re referring to or whether I’ve even read it  … I don’t read everything on the forum …
The Mods don’t  address individual posts cos they have better things to do with their working day than get into spats with posters. It’s not what they’re paid for.Â

Using cheap overnight electricity during the day … isn’t that the same principle as storage heaters etc … just common sense .., there seems to be a real shortage of that precious commodity too 🙄Â

Solar panels and batteries give multiple benefits to those who can afford them. The storage heater's heat is used to heat. A battery can charge a car, heat a swimming pool, power games...even feed the solar panel generated leccy into the grid (I'm not sure if the feed in fee is more or less than the overnight cost of charging the battery though).
I'm getting solar panels because I DON'T have money. I'm getting them because my household income is less than the £31,000 threshold, and, as such , I qualify for the Eco 4 grant scheme
@steveTu … I lived in a beautiful old detatched village house in the 70s which had storage heaters and had done so for years. In the mid 70s my late parents moved to a lovely large Edwardian house with sea views in Southwold (if you don’t know property values there Google it … beach huts go for more than the average price of a house in the UK). It had storage heaters then, they’d obviously been there for years.Â
In the late 1940s my grandmother had a beautiful architect-designed  detached four bedroomed house built on a hillside overlooking beech woodland between Woburn Abbey and the Chilterns … it was heated by the latest form of clean and economical heating …. storage heaters.Â
Although Economy 7 came in during the 70s IIRC, there had been cheaper off-peak electricity available for years.Â

I do not see what the point is of showing a picture of boiled eggs in a gardening forum is? Can anyone explain please.
I wouldn't worry too much @Waterbut - it's just a picture- if you look at it closely enough, the eggs seem to be at varying stages between soft and hard boiled. You just need to imagine a pic showing a raw egg at the beginning and one of an empty shell at the end. Bit like posting various stages of a garden  As pointed out earlier, chickens ( and their eggs ) are often resident in some gardensÂ
