Can’t believe these tulips are still standing after torrential rain for over 24 hours and howling gales. I wish they’d waited to come up until the others in the pot were ready as the different colours were meant to compliment each other.
Lovely morning. I had a cup of tea outside and enjoyed the warm sunshine. It’s overcast and considerably colder now.
Of course, bittersweet feelings posting this here - but gardening does teach us about the impermanence of things and about enjoying whatever moments of bliss we can get and the plants, animals, human beings that come our way even for the shortest time.
@Fire Thank you. Alas, no. It was only this forum for me. A long time ago I was part of a classical music forum and, when I was writing, I had a twitter account that I couldn’t sustain. I’ve moved over to the GC, but I find it difficult to make the change. Though both sites are public, this one seemed more private and quiet somehow. I’ve seen your thread on GC and your last message there. I wanted to write that I’ll hope you change your mind - but it felt wrong since I myself am unsure of how often I will visit.
I just found this on one of the threads. My garden in 2020 - how it all began. A lot has changed and I was glad to see this photo that I’ve probably deleted otherwise.
