     clockwise from top left
variegated hebe / blush noisette /rosa iceberg/ rudbeckia hirta  / another unknown hebe.

Such a lovely "bouquet". ;) Love the un-named Hebe.
  • Great to see so many gardener's early blooms. I was able to spend my first day in the garden since new years without there being constant rain and made the following count of what was in bloom:

Vinca, Sarcococca, Viburnum tinus, Wood Avens, Iberis, Winter flowering honeysuckle, snow drops, common daisy, lesser celandine, crocus, knautia, argyrathemum, Erysimum Bowle's Mauve, Broccoli, Darwin's barberry, dead nettle, Winter flowering cherry, Hebe, Helleborus, flowering quince, chamomile, Bidens, pot marigold, comfrey, daffodil, camellia, Arbutus, Gorse, Mahonia.

I have linked a view video clips in the list to show some evidence but after so much rain recently and frost last night I think a lot of them are looking less than their best.

    Happy gardening!

The sweet allysum still smells like honey and has been flowering since June. Grown from seed by my six year old neighbour.
Do forward my compliments to your six year old neighbour, a promising gardener! B)
