I have that delight yet to come!  Lights put up in the conservatory first and then I have to put up the tree (artificial which we've had for about 20 years but still looks good), put lights onto that and then the missus does the rest of the tree decoration and anything else.

I just put lights up around my front door. That might be it for me.

Minimalist???  Even that's over the top for my liking.

Way too early for us.  However, we have already bought the tree and sat it in a bucket of water on the grounds that a freshly cut tree does better than one that's sat in a heap on the shop floor for a few weeks.
