    Morning all.

I'm with Son 2, DIL and 5 little ones. Last night we went to a lovely concert nativity play in a village church. First act was about Mary and Joseph falling in love, going to Bethlehem and the angel announcing the news to the shepherds. Mary and Joseph were played by professional opera singers from this area. They used a mixture of opera songs and carols. We only stayed for the first act as the smaller children were too tired.

There has been great excitement as the family presents were laid out under the tree. Stockings for little Father Christmas presents will be put out tonight.

I'm going to do some baking with the children today.

Gosh, what a badly timed disaster @Biglad, though any time would have been a PITA too. I hope the repair holds.

    Fourth candle, Love.

Christmas wheat is very lavish this year. That means we will all have abundant next year, and first croatian homemade mince piesπŸ˜‚.Β Β

Good morning Busy. What a lovely, lovely time you are in for. Christmas is all the more special when there are small people - with their infectious excitement about. It must be super baking with them too. I remember watching a Mary Berry programme when she was baking with her grandchildren - joyous!
Ante, what wonderful pictures. Winter wheat is looking very good. I guess your warm, sunny weather has helped. Your mince pies look delicious! I'm on my way!

  • @Biglad I'm the sort who my wife won't let try and fix anything to do with electricity or plumbing. I've tried both in the past - and not come out the other side with head held high!!

I'm sorry you had a mess to clear up. Definitely NOT want you want - now or any other time. 🫣

Love your advent candles, they are so beautiful. I've been looking for one of those candle holders for a few years now, but can only find the ones for tapered candles. Think yours is safer usingΒ  the bigger type of candle.Β
Haven't read back, so hope everyone is well. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your friends, familyΒ  and loved ones.Β
Thank you for all your emails, messages and kind words these last few months.Β
Take care, lots of love to you all. X

    That all looks splendid @Ante1Β

I got another 4hrs kip so ready to go again! No problem in the 'TV' room this morning. It could have been worse - that mess tomorrow morning would've had everyone in tears!

Just got all the decs down from the loft - am I a bit later than everyone else? Off on a tree hunt shortly. Then it's SM for hell on earth :DΒ
