There’s not a specific ‘Introduce yourself’ thread @Badly_Maintained … it’s absolutely fine to just land here and say hello … if you want to tell us a bit more about yourself that’s fine too. 😀
Some of us just chatter away when we have the time during the day …
Minestrone soup for lunch anyone?

Evening all, had a late start to today as the chaps got up earlyish to watch the Mexican GP. I opted to take my breakfast back to bed to get away from the noise! OH's friend left later to go home.
Beautifully sunny morning when I went into town for a much needed haircut. Bought OH's birthday presents, a new checked shirt and some aftershave. I'm also treating him to the Stones new album Hackney Diamonds which I'm told is very good. After a mooch round M & S and coffee/cake, I came out to find it was raining, thank goodness I'd packed a lightweight cagoule and an umbrella. When I left the hairdressers to catch the bus home - brilliant sunshine again!
It was good to have OH's friend (his 'best man') to stay but I find visitors for a long weekend quite tiring, so just relaxing now in the peace and quiet. It's been another hectic week and this week looks to be the same, hairdo, blood tests etc. 2nd dentist appointment and a massage on Friday. Plus we are still awaiting the start date for the new driveway, which could be any day now.
Courage @punkdoc, surely second time round is less stressful than the first.
My sister had the camera down the throat jobbie last Friday which is enough to give anyone the cobbywobbles but the doctor/nurses were fantastic she said and very caring. The doctor held her hand throughout and a nurse held the other, although the doc had to tell her to let go at one point as his fingers were numb! She did warn them she needed a sedative and next time they've promised her one. The good news is that no tumour was found but she has a very inflamed hiatus hernia for which medication has been prescribed. Not sure how that relates to her persistent cough but we'll wait and see.
Hubby decided to have a go at mowing the grass in front of the house, this morning. This is just a part of bush fire prevention behaviour. It’s all a bit much for him nowadays, but having a ride-on mower is a big help. 😏 My photo is not coming up yet, so I’ll wait for a while.
Good morning all ☕️ an early start this morning … son has to pop in to the GPs to see the nurse, then he’s taking me to get my car… he came home in his yesterday … all seems well with it now 🤞.

Lovely photos @Pat E The aspect is very calming! (So is Pixel - in his special chair!)
Bright and sunny this morning which meant that the sun came up around 6.45am. Yesterday, being dismal, it was dark until 8am.
Although not cold, I woke up yesterday with a terrible back - hopefully just a bad sleeping position. I was crippled last night after a session at physio yesterday afternoon. She has suggested a session with osteopath as it seems a problem with crural nerve. Also, my crural muscles are tight even though I have been doing the exercises she gave me. Anyway, I cheated a bit last night and took an anti-inflammatory and strong pain killer before bed. I think I was tired after a bad first night after daylight saving. It was a long day yesterday.
That's good to know @punkdoc re the hiatus hernia "cough". Everything is connected in our bodies, isn't it?!! I hope your operation goes without a hitch (get it!!! ) and you'll be out walking asap. Take it slow and easy.
I too @Busy-Lizzie have adorned the gravesite with pots of chrysanthemums. The cemetery is very colourful at this time of year and unfortunately there are some new additions.
I'm sure that we would love to know more about you @Badly_Maintained You only need to share whatever information you wish.
Last day of October and today's expression is: A la Saint Quentin, la chaleur a sa fin.

@Badly_Maintained now you are here you are introduced! My gum is still a bit sore, still on painkillers and antibiotics. Thanks for asking.
I've done very little, apart from take the bin bags to the bins up the road and start my Photobox album for the last year.

Have a pleasant day everyone.
The rain held off yesterday afternoon so I was able to go and tidy up first OH's grave.
Mammogram late morning then off to Daughter 1 after lunch.
I hope your back settles down @tui34.
My tooth socket is still aching but not like it was. Last antibiotic today.
