more rain overnight here too. Now grey and damp. I have my flu jab this afternoon, hopefully the doc will explain the other issues, but I am not going to bore you with just yet š.Ā OH is still in bed cause he feels a bit poorly, he had all his jabs last week so it isn't that. Nothing else to say about today, but let's be grateful anyway. I was born in the lucky part of the world, must remember that when I feel miserable for myself.
Rain forecast but alas didn't turn up - as per usual!! Ā Still, a dismal day forecast, some wind, no sun but mild.
Ā A bike trip to Lidl this morning and physio this afternoon. Ā I have been sorting through my winter and summer clothes ready for "the changeover". Ā Am pleased with myself as I have made 2 big piles of clothes (I mustn't go through them) and a pile of really good stuff for a friend. Ā She has some jeans that she doesn't need any more. Ā Not sure if they will fit around my derriĆØre!!!
I hope everyone has a reasonable Monday. Ā November is almost upon us. Ā The year has gone so fast.Ā
Son left for work half an hour ago ⦠now IĀ have another coffee āļø and am becoming more awake š„±Ā Not a lot planned for today ⦠hswk and laundry got done over the weekend ⦠the amended knitting pattern arrived on Saturday but having gone through it there is a bit of ambiguity so Iāll phone the companyās pattern advisor I spoke to before just to clarify before I do anything irrevocable⦠š§¶Ā

Nice and sunny here at the mo. but all v. wet after more rain last night.
Was aghast to realise that the craft fair I signed up for months ago is this Sunday!Ā There was me thinking that I'd spend a few days polishing up they jewellery I have, making a few more bits and generally being on top of things.Ā How can I insert a few extra days into this week?Ā The one hour we got wasn't enough!
Sending reassuring hugs š¤ and positivityĀ @punkdoc ⦠youāll be fine. Ā šĀ
Something lovely has just happened ⦠Iāve been on the waiting list for a while to join a local U3A choir ⦠Iāve just had the call ⦠I used to be in a couple of choirs back in the day ⦠I love singing ⦠traditional choral music and more contemporary stuff ⦠and it is so good for me ⦠I do hope itās what I want and that Iām āa good fitā. Ā Thatās Wednesday afternoons spoken for ⦠I may not be able to get there this week but theyāre ok with that. šĀ Ā

My fingers are crossed too for you @punkdoc, but do try to calm down. You don't want it cancelled because your blood pressure has shot up!
How lovely @Dovefromabove! OH would love to join another choir. The French one died during Covid. The Norfolk one doesn't sing anything he can get his teeth into.
OH has lit the wood burners so house is cosy. It's been raining. Should be a bit better this afternoon then heavy rain for the next few days.
I was hoping to tidy up first OH's grave and put a pot of chrysanths on it, as the French do. It's been so wet and my tooth has caused problems so I only have this afternoon to do it before the 1st November, French custom. It's in my old village, over an hour away but I could have a cuppa with a friend there. 1st November is a bank holiday.
Tomorrow I have an appointment for a Mammogram then we are going to my daughter,Ā near Poitiers, for a couple of days.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I know I said Iād not got a lot to do today ⦠but somehow thereās a loaf of bread cooling on the rack, a big fruitcake in the oven and a big pot of minestrone on the hob.Ā
Iāve also prepped potatoes and leeks for a sort of bubble and squeak to have with leftover gammon and eggs for supper ⦠oh and I phoned the knitting pattern person and clarified her amended instructions. Ā A morning well spent. šĀ

Does anyone know if there is an "introduce yourself" thread on this forum?Ā My suddenly appearing from nowhere has been rather rude (in my defence, I'm not neuro-typical, so I do tend to struggle in my dealings with people).
Today was supposed to be showery, but the rain is almost constant and fairly heavy too.Ā There is a stiff wind blowing. I estimate it is Southerly, but I can't be entirely sure unless I go to see the harbour master, which I'd prefer not to do through all this rain.
Hope this is a good week for everyone.
