Yes, funny how DA sent out the advertising blurb after the current discount has finished, Marlorena!

A question or two for those of you that grow Soul in the UK, which I think includes @Tack and @cooldoc..

How tall and wide does it get for you over there? I am organising one for a UK friend so an idea of that or any other info I can pass on would be much appreciated. How brutally or otherwise do you prune it? I imagine it would benefit from a hard prune to keep in shape when grown freestanding.  TIA.

I was pondering where to place my Chandos Beauty once I've potted it up as I am running out of suitable flat places.

It has just dawned on me that once our new tarmac drive is completed, hopefully by the middle of next week, I could place it under a sitting room window where we would pass it on a daily basis.

However, earlier on in the year, I gave three pots that formerly lived there to my daughter as I didn't want to have to keep watering them! Decisions, decisions.

I have just been out in the garden moving Blue for You to a bigger pot and potting up Cutie Pie. Cutie Pie arrived last night when my lodger opened the front door to go out for a smoke - we usually use the back door.

Cutie Pie is tiny and seems to be on it's own roots.

As usual I let my house cats wander around the garden. I saw that Truffles was inspecting all the pots with bulbs that are already sprouting due to being planted early - then I realised that he was checking if any of them tasted nice!

Best of luck for the quick arrival of your roses, including CPM - it looks beautiful @Nollie.

  • @Emptyheadtime, thank you for the suggestion to tip compost from one trug to another to mix it - works very well!
