  • Yes @Nollie, blue and white cornflowers that I showed from seed later than usual and kept going under cover. It looks as if you have found a lovely new walk - it must have been cold with steam? rising from the stream! Such a tranquil composition.

  • Oh that is so delicate, @NormandyLiz. I like the contrast between the blurring and the sharper focus. Gorgeous complementary tones!

Yes, chilly morning with the low sun on the water causing it to steam clematisdorset. Same walk actually, well one of three regular circuits in the same area.

It was a lovely moment Liz, glad you like it! Sometimes nature just offers something up requiring little intervention. I adjusted the exposure a little, but that was it.

Same scene from a little further away:

Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
  • The first one works better for me, @Nollie, it's cleaner and brings the water and bridge more to the centre of attention.

    Less obvious here.

    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

  • Such luxurious jewel-like colouring and velvet looks, @Plantminded. It is like looking through a microscope into another world. Your first three I can imagine wearing, e.g. on a cloak or coat!

Thank you @clematisdorset, I like your thoughts! I was thinking moths, feathers and sea urchins!

  • Yes, ☺️ that is exactly what I saw too @Plantminded
