    water pearls

I'm aware that most people are probably viewing these pics on a phone and they will look very different on a tablet or a laptop etc. I imagine the pics are much harder to edit on a phone, also.
  • Don't dismiss the idea of building a greenhouse from old windows. I've just done it, with some help, and it wasn't as hard as I'd feared. So much nicer than a polytunnel!

I would love to do that, but a "permanent structure" is taxed by the town, so the polytunnel doesn't cost me anything.  It's tricky!

Back to playing with photos - Queen Anne's Lace seedhead, original :

In iPiccy - adjusted the exposure, used the duotone filter, then an HDR adjustment.

    I like the original better.

Not sure about this but I've tried to revive the autumn colours and used a Posterize effect:

Why are you not sure, @Plantminded? Looks pretty good to me!

I've gone the other way, less colour rather than more. Cropped and rotated, and the bits of grass zapped with Photoshop, then LunaPic. The first is Coffee, the second is Smoke, both at less than 100% but I can't remember how much.

It's interesting that I feel constrained by what I had in mind when I took the shot. In this case it was shape and the rain drops rather than colour.

By the way, I don't think it matters if you try to upload a big file on here, it resizes to 1000xsomething regardless.

Thank you @NormandyLiz, I thought I had lost the definition of the raindrops with the extra colour. I like your second version very much.

  • Part of the interest is seeing how the new versions differ from themselves and the  original!  I would put all of them on my wall as art.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus

    No, they're definitely still there.

And I agree, looking again my second version is better.
  • Very nice, @B3!
