We noticed some fascinating shapes and colours on a group of felled conifers while walking this morning, so I went back to take some close ups. Typical me, not just one or two but 146. Here is one that is straight processed
I have put a selection of shots in an album. If anyone does want to play, please help yourselves. I won't feel at all upset if you don't so don't feel obliged to even look (I had a dream the other night that someone from the forum, not a real someone, started posting about how annoying I was with my photos. I hate to think I'm annoying in any way).
The colours and shapes come from knocked off bark, cuts through the bark and trees, the machinery used to drag the trunks and the marks by the forestry service.
There are several fashion collections in there - an amazing colour palette that I can see working in fabrics very well.
The pics would look amazing blown up to a few metres square - with hugely high resolution. I can picture an exhibition.
It also made me wonder about all the dyes and tannins one can get out of botanicals like bark and fungus. The images give a good sense of how that might work.
No plant content here but I thought you'd like it. Walking on water. No enhancements, the sun was all that was needed to create some stunning lighting and mirror effects yesterday! (You'll know exactly where this is @Penny_Forthem!)
I do indeed. W. K. A bit of ice with your g and t? We're enjoying a short, wintery break in our caravan on top of a hill in Denbighshire. Brrrr ( but are toasty warm indoors!)
