My mother had problems with hayloft as well. She ordered a set of perennial geraniums and they didn't arrive after a month so she called them and was told they had over sold the plants and that it would be another year before they arrived if she still wanted them. When they did turn up a year later they were some of the tiniest plugs you had ever seen and very poor quality plants as 3 were dead on arrival out of the ten. It was to much hassle to complain as it had been so long but it put us off paying their premium costs.

That's interesting about Hayloft.  I've never used them, but have felt tempted.

Personally, I have had some lovely plants from ebay sellers and it is always my first port of call when looking for something specific.

As well as having a very good Facebook page,  no derogatory comments or angry face smilies like some,  they have responded here and offered to help rectify the problem.
    Thanks and praise to @Evie@Hayloft

  • This is the first time I have seen an online Nursery post on here. Always good business sense to see what gardeners around the country are thinking.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
  • They may respond but goodness their pricing is ridiculous for tiny plants...used them once for some hellebores most were the wrong variety 🤣 never again.

I bought their hellebore collection some years ago,  they’re still lovely plants.

I imagine companies run automatic searches to find mentions of their name ... and then they can respond to criticism.

Hayloft offer GW subscriber discounts, so I guess they do keep a pretty close eye on GW.

They didn’t stumble upon this thread by accident.
