    Rain  :)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

More rain forecast for this morning but I'm off to London in a bit for work, where it will be unpleasantly hot (always full of hot air) so I won't see it. Back Thursday night, hopefully the garden has had enough rain to look after itself for a few days.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • The light rain, and rumbling, has already started. Due to rain VERY hard all morning, with some thunderstorms.
    It will be welcomed.

Our house is the highest in the road, so when we have a thunderstorm, I always remove the TV aerial. Like now!!

Er, yes!!  But between lightning strikes.
Removed from the wall in the lounge - not by going up on the roof!!

@rowlandscastle444 the splodge on your map over Dartmoor,   Nowhere at all,  not a spot this morning.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Hi @Lyn
Those "splodges" represent rain clouds. However, there is no guarantee that those same clouds will actually drop their contents in any particular area.

Also, it's the yellow areas (at least, they look yellow to this colour-blind individual) that hold the greater amounts of precipitation.

We certainly got some in north Kent this morning, for which I am very grateful. I'm not sure my young neighbour was, trying to persuade her young ones to leave the house!!

Sorry you didn't get any rain this morning.

We've had rain all day so far today. It's lovely and steady and should refresh everything up. The skies are white so must be full of it. Hoping it tops up the reservoir well.
