@steephill when we visited Skye a few years ago it rained all day I have never seen horizontal rain before, the favourite memory was the sight of sheep sheltering in a bus shelter. This morning after the short downpour it cleared up and in the evening we had light showers with no sight or sound of thunderstorms so still in need of a bit of rain on the ground.
Lots of prostrate plants this morning and the pond is spilling over the edges.
Very happy!
Flattened salvia, broken broad beans. That seems to be the extent of the damage from last night's rain. Both I can live with, knowing that the ground is suitably watered.
My butt floweth over. We seem to live in a bit of a rain deprived area, it can often hammer it down either side of us whilst we get a shower. Yesterday was the same, but even so we got plenty. We drove out and it was flooding in other areas. Too late for some plants which have died though.
