It's A Zinger, my only double daylily. I am not usually a fan of double flowers but I quite like this one, and I think flowers often look better with rain on them. BTW, did you know that daylily flowers are edible? So are the roots, which are eaten in some Asian countries.
That’s a good threat for plants that don’t behave: if you don’t do well, you’ll end up in my plate! Beautiful colour, @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool. Edible, but are they tasty? I love having a nibble when I walk through the garden. It’s usually tomatoes or salad leaves, but I love nasturtium leaves if I can get to them before the blackfly and Amelanchier berries are nice too.
..aptly named Alan... I don't mind the wacky names given to Daylilies, I think it's part of the appeal.. however, I do have limits.. I think most of the worst names, some might think offensive, remain in the U.S.
..I also like a nice deep red.. ..this is 'Claudine'..
These are some of my daylilies, all in the "hot" border. They were all moved from my previous house Feb 2014 and in the process lost their labels. It doesn't really matter, I love them anyway..

There are a few other specialist growers, but Strictly has the best website.
