Calligraphy. Every year I get a few daylily flowers with the wrong number of bits, most often eight instead of the usual six, but this one has only four.
High Tor, my tallest daylily by far, at over 60". Pumpkin Kid is behind it.
Black Adder
Sold as Bonanza, but there is lot of confusion about the name. There are also Helicon and Bonanza1954, and which plant is which is uncertain.
@pitter-patter Yes I think so, the only drawback I have found is that they don't seem to flower much in the first summer after planting.. They like to be fed, including liquid feed and a good watering just before flowering is recommended.. but if you have lots of them, I don't suppose people bother that much..
I have found my preference is for the 'spider' form of Daylily, whereby the petals are flared outwards, and pointed, more like a Lily.. .. this one.. 'Laurena' again today, showing the flaring and curling of the tips.. like a spider..
Thank you, @Marlorena. My preferences seem to be similar. I’ve bought one from the Everydaylily series, which are meant to repeat flowering better. It’s called Red Ribs.
