The veg patch has been neglected this year for reasons you’ll understand … dear @WonkyWomble planted out some tomato plants for me, gifts from one of my son’s friends, and she planted three courgette plants she’d grown for me.
Apart from water them in that early dry spell I’ve virtually neglected them but we have more courgettes than ever before, and the tomatoes aren’t doing at all badly either 😃

It's been a processing veg day today. 700g of prepped Carrots now in the freezer after blanching, and 2.5kg of Beetroot prepared and in jars pickled. 🥵 Plus another half pound of Raspberries and these tomatoes
The blueberries are nearly over. Figs have just started; these are from last year's starts. Some of the fruit that set at the beginning of this year might be ready a few months from now. Also 2 small white aubergines or should I call them brinjals/eggplants? ☺️

We have been out pruning the Apple Tree. While out thought I would pick the ripe Plums, all of four, and none more to see! Seems to be a bad year this year.
@purplerallim last year was our bad plum year. This year it has been amazing. We have given buckets (and I do mean buckets) loads to family and friends. Probaly they will rest next year.
Our Black Hamburg grapes are ready so much earlier than usual for us. A lot of deseeding to do now.
