The trouble with that @Loxley is that the land livestock use in many cases is not useful as arable land.
A significant proportion of arable land is used for animal feed production; that definitely is suitable for human food production and I think the footprint of it is probably sufficient without having to convert existing pasture.

I live in Lincolnshire and here we grow a big percentage of the country's food crops. We have  2 metre wide wild edges to fields, don't cut verges, and keep our hedges.
BUT we are being forced to accommodate five of Europe's biggest solar farms, the biggest in Europe anaerobic digester ( 12 domes) , a nuclear power station next to the Wash ( a wildlife sanctuary), an area flooded for a new reservoir,  and a nuclear fuel dump near the sea. None of which will be used by Lincolnshire residents , as its for other areas. I think people's ideas of what we need are skewed!

    P.S. sorry for the rant

@purplerallim ranting is good. It encourages us to get our heads out of the compost and see what's happening.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I don't think it's fair to " blame " him.
Take it up with the programme producers / directors.

The People Choice Award vote is opened. I voted for the Centrepoint Garden. This was the only garden that looked so natural, I would like to see it in real.

    I my garden.

As usual we haven't even seen much of the small gardens, only the balcony types, surely there are more like the winning Japanese garden!

I see Harkness roses got a look in with their new rose .

I have never been so underwhelmed by the gardens generally, than I have this year.

I agree @Hostafan1 , if I did vote for people choice I don't think I would bother this year. Theme's over substance this year.
