I watched the preview programme and fell in love with Chris Beardshaw's garden. I always enjoy his planting.
Also like the look of Mark Gregory's design and his comment that basically it's like a stage set. Hope the Chelsea pensioners enjoy their lunches.
Something tells me that the judges won't like it, l don't know why. I think they've marked down his previous show gardens ?

Fingers crossed for the hosta/bonsai/koi carp man :) .

I've just watched the preview programme.
    Am I alone in feeling it's all a bit " preachy "?
How many times did the Hosta guy say " conservation " ?

    Devon.

I don’t think so @AnniD, he has 5 Chelsea golds.

Thanks @punkdoc. Don't know who l was thinking of then. Maybe l was thinking of a comment about his Yorkshire garden of a few years ago, along the lines of could it be classed as a garden ?
I thought it was made by one of the judges, but it might have been one of the presenters.

It has been many years since I went to Chelsea and I loved ever moment of each time I went.  I went on members day each time so although crowded I don't remember having any problems seeing the show gardens.
The Mark Gregory design looked good and I enjoyed the piece with the women on mushrooms.  Will of course be glued to it for the first few days then lose interest after they award the medals as they only ever feature the winning gardens after that.
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

Thought the mushroom stand by two sisters was interesting.
We were talking about the cost of the show gardens - financial backing they require etc. and wondered who the sponsors might have been throughout the shows history - weedkiller brands maybe? 😊

Big financial firms and charities are the usual sponsors.

    I agree with you @Hostafan1.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
