Great photos everyone! I haven't had my bearded iris long and wanted to know roughly how many bloom you get per iris?
I usually get two but this year some have three. The baking in the very hot south last year as well as splitting some has really made a difference to them. Not sure the same will happen next year.
I think this is the third year they have been in the ground too and it's definitely the best display I've had
@Marlorena it looks like it might actually be tomorrow for the irises!
Love seeing all the beauties in here.
No photos from me yet, but I'm almost there. My Siberian irises are about ready. I have one large clump and several scattered ones that I've divided off from the original. One of my favorite plants in my garden!
My house came with a number of peonies but none of them are very happy. They've been shaded out over the years and suffered from lack of care. This year I moved three small ones and am just hoping they survive and bloom sometimes in the next, oh, decade? Two left in their original spots are doing better this year than last, when I had 100% bud blast. So disappointing. This year (knock wood) it's looking like bud blast is only taking out about 1/3 of the buds. I'm still working towards the cause, but better airflow, some feeding, and careful watering seems to have helped! No idea of the variety, but I'll post a picture when they open!
Still no peonies, although rubra is close! But another iris, I think this is a versicolour one, it’s planted in a little bog section of my pond, has tons of buds on it so must be happy with it’s spot!
