I can't take MSG either @Pat E - it gives me a stabbing sensation at my temples. But glad you had a better day today - nice knitting and how exciting anticipating a new arrival!

Sorry to read about all of you with summer colds/poorly tums.  *Quickly puts on mask*.

Gorgeous pics @Ergates.  I tried growing the yellow scented azalea (though now I think it has been reclassified as a rhodo) in a large pot.  It didn't take long to die, despite potting in ericaceous and watering with rainwater.  That pot has a rose in it now, which is doing rather well.

What a magnificent snake @tui34!  I wonder if ladders are related to adders?

OH went to the Dr's yesterday - suspected angina.  He has a letter and has been told to go to A&E (why there and not a specialist department?) and we shall go tomorrow.  I would have taken him today but I have 2 important appointments this afternoon and he wouldn't let me cancel them.  He's had these chest pains for a few weeks now so I suppose one more day won't make a difference.

Didy, Punkdoc and Dove. Thanks for your encouraging comments. The baby arrived about a week ago.  Nice photos sent on line.
Didy, I suffer from MSG intolerance so I’m careful with what I eat. It took me several years to get it sorted out. 🙄

    Hello Forkers,

I have been absent due to lots of stuff to do. I hope everyone is coping with either pain or problems. Today is a bit sad, young'un gone back to London 😔. It has been a month of chopping veg and cooking with meat substitutes, but all worth it for mummy's boy hehe. The house is now empty again but it is all part of life's cycle, I will see him again in August hopefully finally settled with his girlfriend.

Congratulations @Pat E for the new addition. Knitting pics on the crafters please.

Weather has been incredibly good, a little windy. No sign of rain, I am already watering some of the plants at night.

    Good afternoon all.
Overcast and chilly this morning, but the cloud is now breaking.

    Good morning everyone.

Funny day - warm, overcast and muggy with spits in the air.  Oh for a good downpour!!

Out early with the dog but not on the same track as yesterday.  Too chicken!!  The snake might be waiting in the grass and then jump out at me!!

Back home to go to Lidl before the bun fight started.  They have specials in the catalogue, but often not on the shelves.  Amazed that carrots were at 1.99€/kg.!!!

    Forgot to press "post" again!

Waiting for my physio to call - I will ask her if she can fix my pinched hip nerve or if I need an osteo.  I have no prescription for this treatment - only an appointment at the end of June with my surgeon.  GP?  Hesitant as she is the locum for my GP and she wouldn't give me a prescription for x-rays for my knee last week.    Painful.   Getting old is no fun!

So - hope all aches and pains are tolerable - will have to sit this lot out!!

A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Your lunch looks delicious @Busy-Lizzie. Brings back memories of our holidays in France with beautiful food and scenery.
Enjoy your trip, too, @Allotment Boy. Cruising down the Danube sounds very relaxing.
