Morning all. lovely photos @D0rdogne_Damsel. Looks like you enjoyed your trip to Auch @tui34, we are not a million miles (km) from there, we could have met up! Did you drive? that may be why your hip is hurting? I decided yesterday that Toms, Peppers, Aubergines, cucumbers etc all had to be planted out and take their chance, I thing they will be OK. have a good day all.
Hi everyone, yes we are still trying to harden off this to get them out as we go away after next BH. We spent all day in the garden yesterday, I have just come back from a flying visit to plots as we are going to a concert this afternoon. Regards to all.
Afternoon all. Gorgeous weather here this weekend but I’m hammering through my water butt supply for the pots! Must not grumble as it’s a real tonic to have some sunshine and (free) warmth ☀️
I hope all are ok. I’ve just skimmed through - no major dramas noted apart from a few with ailments, so healing vibes to those.
Good evening everyone, Ive had a good afternoon in the garden, clipping, weeding and pruning whilst OH has cut the grass. Things are looking much tidier now, though I’ve the front garden borders to tackle tomorrow. We’ve only been away for a week and everything has just shot up, so needed attention. I’m really pleased to see that a hanging basket of petunias which I left out after last summer, have survived the keen frosts, rain, snow, hail, etc, and are in full, glorious bloom. Amazing - I really didn’t expect that. A nice “welcome home” gift after our holiday 😁. Feet up now whilst I catch up with all your news.
I've made a start on painting the landing and stairwell. It's all pine panelling with thin grooves between the planks that have to be done with a pointy brush. Takes ages. It looks depressing in shades of beige. I'm hoping that it will look better and fresher when it's all white.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
What a strange day - lovely and warm in the sun but a decided chill in the air too. Well done to everyone who got out in the garden today.
Clay club with daughter this morning. My horrendous mugs were returned to me after firing. OH likes them and they are in the cupboard, and he has declared he will have his coffee in one of them. He only drinks one cup a day so not too much of a hardship for him.
And this afternoon - a concert in our local church: a 30 piece orchestra playing Hayden, Mozart, Wagner and a 20th century composer who is new to me, Ruth Gipps. It was amazing. I thought the church would be packed for it, but no. Yes, the tickets were £18 each, but really, for what we got, that's not at all bad. The same concert at Snape would be a lot more!
We had some constant light rain, so I took the opportunity to stake my tomatoes. The stakes didn't go in as easily as I thought - never mind. today is overcast.
@Dovefromabove I believe you are off today!! Have a good time.
Today's expression: A la Sainte Emilie, luzerne à plein faucille!!

Beautiful day.
Trying to move cannas and Abutilons out of the house, accompanied by lots of swearing and stops for me to take my inhaler.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Regards to all.
