    It certainly was!! My wife's rang. I had the alert turned off for mine

    Ours both just went off too. Just clicked OK to stop it.

    Not a peep from OH or my phones.
    We hadn't turned them off.

    Nothing happened :/  It's all switched on as far as I can see.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Nothing from my phone or my dad's phone.

    I hope there's nothing bad happening near by.

    Well it certainly made me sit up and take notice. However, it wasn't conducive to informing me what the alert was about - there was some text but I was so intent on stopping the horrible noise I just hit 'OK' as quickly as I could, at which point it disappeared - no idea what it said!

    Our phones are quite old (by the normal standard G3 I think) . They both made the noise,  it was a minute early by my reconing. The message simply confirmed it was a test, said in a real alert to follow on screen instructions.

    When my wife's phone stopped ringing, (she'd gone out and left it on the sofa), the message was still there.

    My OH's tablet went off before 3pm (unless every clock in the house is wrong).
    I wonder how many people were caught out by the alarm being sent to a tablet as well as a smartphone?
