Congratulations from me too @w2tkc4y9dtvXGHZNxu - just hearing about your project and the work you've done so far has left me feeling quite exhausted - and I'm just reading rather than doing @CatDouch - keep posting and don't worry - @bede is simply working his way thru the forum in his efforts to be rude to each and every individual on here. Probably have to grit your teeth for the next few years until he/she has reached his/her target and disappears to another planet

@bede ignores me as you can see from earlier in this thread. He generally makes up for it somewhere else on another thread by contradicting whatever I have said, easy to work out it has happened many times. I would much prefer to stick with gardening and not be writing this as he well knows. Sadly it is a continuous problem, much of his advice is helpful and comes from good garden knowledge. Other times his comments are at the very least unhelpful and can be unkind ,worrying and hurtful. Something I don't understand, but then life is too short...
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
Welcome to the forum! I really am in awe at what you've achieved, you should congratulate yourself. Enjoy all your successes. I can't offer you any advice, only support.
Btw the forum is a really friendly place with super nice people who are so kind in sharing their knowledge. Keep us informed how you fair, think many of us would like to follow your progress.
@w2tkc4y9dtvXGHZNxu Sorry your original post has gone off in another direction. The weather has been lovely, it won't be long before you and your family are all out in the garden enjoying the results of all your hard work.

Hi guys checking in with an update for you, above is progress photos from when I moved in last August , to how it started in February and where I am at now ^_^. My 22 bags of gravel didn’t quiet cut it so I’m gonna add a few bags more to it each month going forward, but I love it so much and makes me so happy looking out my kitchen window. I started taking my morning coffee outside in the morning with the sunrise , my mental health feels so refreshed currently due to all this. Plans changed a little due to the only stepping stones I wanted going out of stock so now my pebble area this year is going to be a growing area for me and my kids (their idea). Starting this weekend when everything gets here we are attempting ; Cherry tomatos, strawberries, hot peppers, sunflowers and some other easy grow flowers. I’ve got some sharp sand, salt and wd40 ready to keep slugs at bay as I did a little research, any other tips welcome. On my to do - to save/spend list now; Wood chip bark for the back section Preasure washer XL black storage box full of stuff for my boys to do outside Sensory magic sand area Cheap furniture and fire pit Lights Bird and squirrel feeders for the back area Keep my plants alive (lord help me) and continue to try bring life into my grass
Thankyou again for all your help and support, and don’t worry about me I’m thick skinned when it comes to unwanted comments.
