I looked it up @punkdoc and wasn’t surprised that it was a rude comment having regularly read many of his unnecessarily rude comments. I was on the receiving end of a nasty comment by @bede before and that has made me think twice about contributing to some threads or asking questions on the forum. I am not naturally a shy, retiring person but his comment about being ‘lazy’ has stuck in my mind and has definitely affected how I use the forum, I read everything but don’t often post.
Im sorry to hear that @CatDouch … most folk on here are kind and helpful. There are a few who obviously have their own problems and are best ignored. There is a helpful way to stop seeing their posts and that is to click on their name … you will then have a page with a little ‘head and shoulders’ icon in the top right corner … click on that and you can then Ignore them and never seen their posts again … bliss 😄
Please don’t let just a few unpleasant characters stop you joining in. At its heart this is a very good place to be. I hope that from now on you will feel welcome. 😊 ☕️ 🍪

Please don't let this person push you away @CatDouch. Please. Use the ignore function as @Dovefromabove says and enjoy the huge number of decent, helpful folk who contribute, and make your own contributions too. Don't forget that you can also use the report function - the other choice when you click on the flag button, and contact the mods if you feel someone has been offensive or rude - to anyone not just yourself. Frankly, I'm not surprised at what @punkdoc has said. I was also on the receiving end of that poster when he made certain unnecessary comments towards me. It's also the reason I took a good bit of time with the OP on this thread, as I understand exactly how she feels about her progress. As you can see- everyone else, without exception, has been extremely positive and helpful towards her.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks @Dovefromabove and @Fairygirl you both have always been extremely kind and supportive with your replies to my previous posts and really helped with my gardening dilemmas as have loads of other people, in fact everyone apart from one individual!
The forum is such a lovely, friendly place and I love reading everyone’s posts so I will take note of the ‘flag’ button and ignore certain individuals 🙄
The ridiculous thing is @CatDouch - doc has shown what the comment was, but if you don't want to read a post, or can't help, then you just move on and leave it to others. I do that regularly. You certainly don't add something like that comment. The only thing with the ignore button is - you'll still see the comments if they're quoted by someone else, and you can also see the opening post on threads started by the person you've ignored.

@bede As you are aware I pointed this out earlier in the thread and as normal no reply. Your flippant remarks go further than you think, just walk away without a care whilst someone else is hurt. You owe two posters on this thread an apology.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
Well done poster. What you have achieved is amazing for someone without your challenges. In the main, we're a friendly helpful bunch
You will get to know our nicknames. Some of us 'chat ' privately, and I have met folk in real life and become friends. Punkdoc, I had no idea what it meant, I thought it was some mistake. I have noticed Bede making unpleasant comments on other people's posts.. Every time the word CAT is mentioned Hostafan gets a £1, standing joke. I have always found when I had a cat, the neighborhood moggies stayed out of the garden. Let's see the Finnished results.

No doubt he will be defended by some and I will be attacked for telling him to just leave the forum.
