Pete.8, your first two featured in Busy-Lizzie’s link hence my bafflement at the ‘No dice’ comment.
Perhaps the OP doesn't have the time to trawl through lots of results...

What’s the going rate for research assistants nowadays? 😉

It takes just as little time to say a polite thank you as to make a dismissive comment

the reason for my no dice comment is simple
she did not provide answer in proper form or
    reasonable way.

the question asked for  "Names" of uk garden magazines from 1914-1945."
the word highlighted in bold is what I expected. I expected a list of names not search result. if I were to give that response as paid researcher I would not have gotten paid. ps i am not a paid researcher.

also Busy-Lizzie had faux pos in how she searched.
she used  google france which also caused issues.

bencotts answer at least was clearer.
also I stand corrected on the corrected name of  "Journal of the Royal Horticultural Society."

There may not be many. People did not have the time or money - advice may have been in newspapers, books or women’s magazines.

the correct term would be lifestyle magazines.

women’s magazines. usually are more political and feminism related.

    Correction:
A polite thank you would have taken much less time.

I’m thrilled to pass muster and have my writing judged to be “clearer”.

It's "faux pas" @war garden 572 not "faux pos"

    Just to be "clearer"

I sometimes wonder if there are posters who think we're a paid team, employed to obey instructions.

  • nutcutlet a paid team would provide better results
    in the correct manner.
