Well done @D0rdogne_Damsel - hope you find someone to take over running the website soon.Ā Ā
Much admiration to you @AuntyRach - you have a hard enough job as it is, without this govt. running the NHS down.
What rotten luck with the stuff in the static caravan being strewn about @AnnaB.Ā Glad your daughter was able to help.
Glad your OH got the jacket he needed @Busy-Lizzie.Ā Not surprised they didn't have anything in Sainsbugs.Ā And glad - Tesco was recently found to be sourcing their clothing from manufacturers that were treating their staff very badly with v.low pay and poor working conditions.Ā I'm suspicious of all really cheap clothing.Ā Wish I could persuade my daughter to stop buying clothes at Primark.Ā I absolutely hate it in there when I am forced to accompany her when we go on shopping trips to Norwich.Ā But to be fair to her, she does also buy clothes from charity shops.Ā Ā
Nice and sunny here at the moment - but rain forecast for 3pm, just when I have a meeting on the other side of town that I was planning on walking to.Ā I suppose that's what brollies are for!
Morning all, yes @Busy-Lizzie, it was me that suggested the upside down hanging baskets to protect catmint from cats. You also need to buy some metal pegs (like tentpegs) to pin it down securely, or thick bent wire if you have any.
It's sunny but very windy out so OH has walked to the papershop this morning. I'm having to be careful as I have vertigo again and feel woozy. Had a terrible night and couldn't sleep so tossed and turned a lot which probably explains the vertigo feeling. I've got to do the h/w though and make DIL's bed up as she's coming to stay tonight. Be lovely to see her again. Her son (my grandson) has just come back from a field geography trip to Italy, which he enjoyed very much so I'm hoping to see photos.
I wondered about that jumper you knitted for your son @Dovefromabove and presumed it was lost in the fire. He'd only had it since Christmas hadn't he? You've been quick knitting another one.
Hope the stuff in the caravan kept dry @AnnaB, what a performance!
@Lizzie27 I'd knitted him three jumpers in different colours ... he's wearing one of them in the photo on the GoFundMe page ... fortunately one of them he'd left here as I said I'd wash it for him, so he only lost two of them.Ā A week after his accident I started on a replacement for the greeny/blue one and finished it yesterday.Ā Just one more to go now ... I'm a quick knitter ...Ā

Hi forkers,Ā I feel like its the middle of winter here.Ā The log burner is lit and we are wrapped up in the sitting room.Ā Sick of the weather, had hoped to get quite a bit done in the garden with all the grandchildren on holiday but every time I plan to go out the heavens open.Ā Bought 3 lovely Valentine primulas yesterday at Hillview Hardy Plants. Red isn't my colour usually but they are a lovely rich dark red, just have to find somewhere to plant them now, if I ever get out in the garden.
Good afternoon,Ā car is in for service so we took advantage of the courtesy car and went round to the Garden club Enfield.Ā I know the Easter sale had finished but their prices are still good and at these "events " it gets so manic we are very wary of going. We got a Japanese pine for Ā£20 should have been Ā£30 but there wasĀ no price on the pot, we picked up, theĀ supervisor said "is Ā£20 ok" we said alright andĀ gratefully took it, hadn't set out to buy one, but there we are.š
afternoon all.Ā Hideous out there.Ā Gale force wind, rain and hail, and a max of 8CĀ I've had hideous abdominal aches for days and I'm feeling thoroughly fed up .
