You're very lucky @Marlorena to have a number of rose gardens in your area, not a thing we have in these parts.
I have 'Open Arms', a top performer every year. Full of blooms from May, right through to late summer.

Trellis looks terrific, @Nollie. How does it work when you have roses on either side?

Astonishing clematis haul, @JessicaS. I didn't know there was one called Aotearoa. Going to have to get that out of blind patriotism.

@Tack It's lovely now but next year like you say, that will be a real showstopper.. it's the first time I've seen it as a Standard..

@Eustace yes of course, it’s the clockhouse nursery in enfield (EN2)

I guess the trellis works, in theory, like neighbours growing things either side of a fence @WAMS. Mme. Isaac Pereire is planted in the centre and has the whole 10ft width to itself on one side. The other side has two spaced about 3ft from the roots of MIP. Both sides have wires on long vine eyes so nothing tied direct to the trellis itself.

Canary Bird looking great @Tack. How do you find the stability of your umbrella support? It looks sturdier than the one I have on Gislaine, which is a bit top heavy. I really need to fix proper stabilisers to it. It got extremely windy here today so it’s currently tied down with fetching blue bungees!
