@bede The height you mention is what I anticipated, but the one I give away 'Tuscany Superb' was well over 6ft, and the one I still have 'Charles de Mills' is also 6ft+. Do you prune them to maintain that height, and it would be very interesting to see photos when they are ready.
@Newbie77 Your Jude looks so much nicer there than the usual closed-up pictures. Charles Rennie Macintosh does not (yet) have a scent (that my nostrils can detect) beyond "pleasant fresh plant smell." It's very small but upright and healthy so far. I love the colours and peony-ish vibe.
@Elbfee I thought you were most diplomatic to @purplerallim. She's been married for longer than I have been alive. (I wrote this while waiting for my eldest outside her high school, feeling as old as Methuselah!) Love your meadow vibe and the Desirée Parmentier rose. It would be interesting to know how long it bloomed for.
@Nollie Thank you and I was about to ask your opinion on MIP. Every year I was hoping to get the good looking blooms but to no avail. @Tack I am done with MIP and likely going to get rid of MIP very soon.

@Rojas you must build a tree house to sit and admire your incredible Constance Spry from!
Constance Spry, not old but classical as the first of the DA "English Roses".
7 days old.
I have thought it worthwhile to have a separate thread devoted to Old Roses.
