Morning all, temperature is fourteen degrees lower today than yesterday!
@Busy-Lizzie I had a bad tum a couple of weeks after leaving hospital. Is OH on blood thinners? it might be that.
Yes he is @floralies, is that a side effect and why now? Will it continue until he comes off them? Maybe @punkdoc will know.

I hope you have a good journey @Dovefromabove and you will find your son much improved since your last visit.

    Good morning all.

The weather had turned (it must be spring!!).  Today is cold and windy.  The sun is trying to peek out but to no avail.

@Busy-Lizzie   I had much pain after my hip operation.  It took over 3 months to start feeling normal.  Those jolly stockings are a burden, but it's good to persevere.

@Dovefromabove   Bonne route!!!  Will look forward to the update on your return!

@Nanny Beach   Happy Birthday to Papy Beach!!

I sowed some Chioggia beetroot and white radishes yesterday.  The red lettuces are coming on nicely and I picked another cauliflower.  My summer sowings are up at 2 leaf stage.

Stay safe.  Stay strong.  Have a happy day!

A nurse from the hospital rang last week @tui34 and told him that he could keep the horrid stockings off.

I am unaware of blood thinners causing an upset tummy, more likely that it will be any painkillers, @Busy-Lizzie

Thank you @punkdoc. His painkillers usually have the opposite effect!

Happy pension day to Pappa Beach!

Hope Dove is having a good visit with her son.

And that your OH's tummy settles down soon.  When I broke my wrist I was on heavy duty painkillers for a few days - and they are notorious for bunging you up!

Much milder here now and the wind seems to have died down.  Heating off until the evening now.  Must get my seed sowing corner of the kitchen organised - haven't even begun yet!

The other thing it could be, @Busy-Lizzie, would be something he picked up in hospital, like Norovirus, although that would tend to cause D@V fairly frequently.

@Busy-Lizzie, maybe OH's body is just reacting to the operation. Change of routiine, feeling anxious, frustration and pain can all upset the gut. It will pass, believe me. Is he still sleeping on his back? That alone is very annoying!

Sleeping on his back is the worst thing!
