Enjoyed Frances's stint as host her presentation style seems to be growing in confidence I think that she may have possibly been coached by Rachel. Enjoyed Beechgrove this week too not so much jumping from one presenter to the other a much better format, I am even getting used to the difference in sound quality.

    9pm this week.

" Monty is busy planting umbellifers and making some changes to the dry garden. He also sows peas and pots his dahlias.

Carol reveals exciting plans for an ambitious show garden she’s designing for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. And with a ban on peat in compost on the way, Arit investigates what that means for the industry and gardeners alike.

In Lytham St Annes, there's a gardener who grows so much veg on his allotment, he gives it away to friends and neighbours. Plus the garden of a professor who takes a scientific approach to gardening for wildlife.

Also, there are more of the films that have been sent in by viewers."

Just caught up on last weeks GW. Loved seeing Frances walk around Haytor Quarry, a regular walk I take with my dog 😁

I too just saw last week’s episode I will be trying out that tip for saving gigs from predators. We don’t get a lot of potential figs and they all get eaten so it’s worth a try.
Interesting programme but didn’t feel much like Gardeners World somehow

Normality returned after last week's episode. Really enjoyed this episode. Interesting article regarding peat free compost but unfortunately there was no reference to the poor quality and content being found in some bags including glass, plastic etc. Coincidentally, I just opened a bag this morning which in fairness is liw peat content and was disappointed to find large sticks around a foot long in it. I seriously hope that the overall quality of these products improve before peat is finally banned next year.

Having watched the last 2 episodes back to back I think I preferred the previous one with Francis, as an entire program from start to finish anyway. This weeks seemed to pass me by.

Having said that, the 2 sections with Carol were interesting especially as I have tickets booked to go to Hampton Court in July so I’m looking forward to seeing more updates and then the finished product. Although the plot she was designing was big, it wasn’t huge (unless I misunderstood) but I’m sure the plantsman she has growing her plants for her said they had received 1000 plants already and had another 4000 to come!! I think I may not have planted enough in my garden!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.
