I got round to watching it yesterday. Yes, the living wall was great - a lovely idea. I still prefer Monty to Adam. But we're all different, thankfully. Now if Monty could get a couple of cats, then . . . . . 👍
I think I read in one of Monty's books that they have cats as well as dogs. They're just not TV star show-offs like the lovely Ash
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
"Monty gives a masterclass on rambling, climbing and shrub roses. He also plants out tender annuals in the jewel garden, and with hot, dry summer days ahead, shares tips for water saving and harvesting.
With the Hampton Court Garden Festival just around the corner, Carol Klein is at home immersing herself in some of the plants she’s growing for her highly ambitious show garden.
Wildlife champion Kate Bradbury discovers a fascinating array of moths in her garden and shares tips on how to encourage these intriguing night-time pollinators into our gardens.
There's also a gardener who has a passion for roses and a couple in Worcestershire who spend their life growing miniature fuchsias. Plus more of the films that have been sent in by viewers."
What a delight the Lady’s garden in Hereford last night, she’s totally a Rose Lady, so too is Carol listening to her ups and not too many downs in her passion for her Garden at Hampton Court very soon to be seen.
That rose garden really was beautiful, and the astrantias were so healthy as well.
I enjoyed the couple who loved miniature fuschias, l had to smile at the end when she couldn't wait to start eating the cake 😁. It did look mouth watering.
I know Carol Klein isn't everyone's cup of tea, but l always admire her enthusiasm, and also her honesty. It must be nerve wracking putting your name to a garden at a big show no matter how much help you receive. I was wondering if she was wearing those moss covered boots when l bought plants from her at Malvern years ago (without the moss, obviously).
The item about moths was fascinating. I was particularly impressed by the way the presenter (whose name l have forgotten, sorry) placed the moths so carefully into the ivy where they could shelter for the day. I learnt a lot, but l don't think l could handle them as she did.
As ever MD had his usal effect and I dozed off so will have to watch it again later. Looking forward to learning more from moth lady.
OH has just asked me if anyone's commented on MD's open water collectors. Maybe there are no mozzies in Herefordhire but here, and even in Belgium, any water butts, buckets, trays etc left open got mozzie larvae and it's also a danger for insects and frogs if there's no escape route.
Even my garden birds' water bowl has a stone in it so critters can crawl out..
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I'm so sorry, Sam. I hope s/he gets well soon.

I have a dream that my.. children.. one day.. will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character
