Can't get any signal on TV tonight for GW, anybody else affected.

Edited to add, signal came back after 10 mins. Quite enjoyed tonight's programme.

I think Rekha will soon be looking for a south facing garden I think it would be much easier to grow a wide range of fruit and veg like she grew in London. The lady growing in Stornoway however has made the most of her situation, loved the bath beds, reuse and recycle.

I wonder what the moth man did with the box moth he had ?? I hope his wife is checking her box hedge 😁.

Colebrooke  House had some lovely planting combinations. I know those antirrhinums aren't to everybody's taste but l might have a look for some seeds.
The London garden was lovely, but my OH was more interested in the clever prosthetic leg belonging to the gardener .

It was nice to see Monty sitting in the Paradise Garden and showing the view outwards. Don't think l've seen it from that perspective before.

I agree @barry island, a fine example of repurposing stuff  :)
  • No need to be defensive about Monty and your preference 😉 I'm not his biggest fan but can understand how people like his plumy tones. One person's calming is another's sleep inducing delivery. But what I like is a steady rotation of presenters just keeps the programme fresher with different gardens and different challenges.

    8pm tonight.

" Monty shows us how to take cuttings from herbs and prunes summer raspberries. He also plants daylilies and gives topiary Nigel a timely trim.

Adam travels to Whitstable on the Kent coast to see how gardeners cope with the wild, wet and windy weather.

There's another look at York Gate in Leeds, where Frances discovers unusual and diverse plant combinations created by the head gardener.

Champion community gardener Tayshan Hayden-Smith goes to Somerset to see how an inspirational gardener has created a pioneering allotment space for local children to experience the joy and magic of gardening.

Also, there's a gardener who loves to salvage and upcycle a range of unusual objects and make them a feature in his garden, as well as a grower who is devoted to daylilies."
