Dear Hazel, I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you today. Hope your new doctor will fast solve your situation.
I just came in from front garden. It was very nice day, but my outside job was smelly one. I was cleaning pond. It's small pond, but quite tricky to clean. Now is time for cup.
@Ladybird4, thank you for the lovely hug-much appreciated . Also meant to say you were right about thinking of little people when we got those three pots of sowing seeds👍😂🤭
A very good morning to you, Ante, and all later arrivals.
Ante, it has rained here all night so everywhere in the garden is too wet to work. Your parents will love having your sister staying with them.
I got a disturbing flyer pushed through my door yesterday. Builders are sounding out the locals about building on the land at the back of our houses. It is 4 years since this was last mentioned and I went to meetings then. I shall be going to this next consultation. I took pictures of the roe deer grazing there last week. Heaven knows what will happen to them.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Good morning everyone . Hazel I hope you have had a comfortable night . Busy how is your OH ? Ante enjoy your afternoon shopping .My OH used to love shopping ,not my cup of tea . LB I hope the proposed building on the fields at the bottom of your garden can be stopped .
Hazel, could the woman have confused you with someone else? I think you need to see your new doctor as soon as you can. It's mad that your diagnosis is questioned before even seeing you and why refer you to a neurologist for a rheumatic illness.
OH is gradually getting more mobile, thanks, Rubee. But he now has an upset tum. My tummy is OK. I wonder why his isn't. Maybe the medication. How is your OH?
Boiler man is coming today. At least it's mild, the heating will have to be off for a bit.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. Bit of a wet one overnight. Good. We need lots more of the wet stuff over the coming weeks.
Oil was delivered before 7.30am - didn't hear him. It's been a cold few days, but I'll let the tank settle for a couple of hours before trying to fire up the boiler. 🤞
@Songbird-2 - glad the fix for your profile etc worked but I was very disturbed to read your post about your treatment at the hands of your GP / pharmacist. Like BL, I think it appalling that a doctor has made this decision without examining or even seeing you. If you're in pain, feeling rough & upset the last thing you'll want to do is undertake a fight but you might have to steel yourself to do it.
Personally, I would write a very firm letter directly (ie marked 'In Confidence / FAO etc*') to your new GP saying that, while you understand (s)he may think it advisable to have your condition and medication reassessed, you are currently really struggling with severe, debilitating pain and discomfort. Say that you are willing to undergo further tests and reassessment but, in the meantime, can you please have your old medication reinstated. At the bottom of the letter CC it to your consultant, then send a copy of the letter to your consultant with a covering note asking if he can intervene.
Maybe it will help, maybe it won't - but it sounds as though nothing will happen without trying and stuff in writing is always better if you end up having to lodge a formal complaint. I wish I lived a whole lot nearer to come and help. Hugs and best wishes to you.
*You were in the CS too - you know what to write to ensure the doctor gets to see it and not just the receptionist!
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Morning all. I didn't sleep well last which is understandable. Thank you so ,i h everyone, for all your kind words and suggestions. I am up for a fight over this so have been trawling through my medical records this morning and have found the lady I saw yesterday, had written down that I didn't have any inflammation yesterday. I bl***y well did and told her so too.
At the appointment I had said that I would have liked to see a doctor about this flare up and she snapped" Oh well, you don't have to speak to me if you don't want to, you really don't, but your doctor has asked me to see you. " Further than saying I did not know that as no one had told me, I was too upset and shocked to respond further, as you can imagine.
However, I have decided to contact Medical Records at the hospital and request all copies of letters sent to my GP by the specialist and all copies of all appointments so I can see what he has written.
I will do same with my GP account on line, but it could take some time trawling through years worth of records. But I'm going to do it. I am so disappointed with the surgery and pretty well done with them. All the old doctors have gone, it's the bright new young things in there now who have different ideas about things but I daren't rock the boat too much or I may get struck off being allowed to go there.
Oh Yes, Topbird, I can word a letter very well and I may just do that. Busy, you're right too, why am I being referred to Neurolgy? This has nothing to do with that. Will query that. Sorry about the rant post. I'm still so worn out with it but I won't let it rest....but it's hard when you're not feeling too grand.

Im signing out for today, had enough of this day. Tomorrow's a new day👍
LB, I hope my sister has a good time. She is mostly with my parents, but that is completely understandable.
Lovely morning, but forecast is rain for whole day. This afternoon we will go to shopping, so this is one more sold out afternoon.
Wish you all nice day and see you later.
