    Morning all.

BL - So pleased to hear your OH is up and dressed - sounds like the op was a success! Sad news about your friend - condolences to you and her family.

I have a long list of jobs to do before we head off to Yorkshire tomorrow. One is to tackle the huge pile of branches ready for shredding. That wouldn't normally be an urgent task but I've piled them on the lawn so I won't be tempted to just leave them for months as per. Won't be doing the grass any good at all... Been too cold and wet to get on with it so far this week but the sun is trying to put in an appearance just now.

Just have about 5 roses left to prune plus a couple of trees and shrubs out front to tidy up. The winter tree and shrub work is always a much bigger job than I anticipate and this year I have over 30 nice straight 3m+ hazel poles to give away to the village veg growers.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Afternoon all,
So pleased to hear your Hubby has had his op @Busy-Lizzie its been a long time coming but now you can look forward to lots of walking and enjoying life.  Sorry though to hear about your friend, what a day of mixed emotions it must have been for you.
Been off the hooks for the last few days, think I must have a touch of the virus that the boys had.  Nothing bad, just a headache and aching bones.  Tired too.
I'm glad I managed to get quite a bit done in the garden recently, I'm much further forward than last year.  Getting a bit itchy about seed sowing but I'm going to hang on for a bit as we are due some cold weather.
Going to pop to Ashwoods in a minute to order seed and potting compost and a couple of grow bags for the toms and cues. I also need to go the a charity shop as Secondborn has filled my car with stuff as apparently I have so much more time to drop it off  ;)
Another eventful few days for you @Biglad your posts always make me laugh.

    Hello everyone,

It’s a bit varied weather wise today - one minute quite bright with some sunshine, the next grey with drizzle in the breeze.

Been to our local town to get a few provisions from the deli and the fish market and do a few admin chores whilst there, too. Back home now and a fairly lazy afternoon planned.

Pleased to hear that your OH had a good night post op, @Busy-Lizzie, and that he is up and dressed today. Not an easy task facing you telling him about your friend in France, but I’m sure that you will gauge when it is the best time to tell him.

I hope you soon feel better, @Yviestevie and that the virus soon takes a hike.

Afternoon all. Another deceptive day today - shiny sun but bitter cold. I cannot believe how quickly these weeks are passing. Hope Ante has had a good time at the GC.
T'Bird, those hazel stems sound phenonmenal and I can imagine veggie growers falling over themselves to get hold of them. Definitely a good idea to clear your grass though. Its amazing how quickly the lack of light can cause yellowing. Hope you have a great drive tomorrow up to your MIL's
Sorry to read you haven't been quite up to par Yvie but I hope that your trip to Ashwoods was successful.
Another compilation GW tonight. Might give it a pass and watch the spin off from Death in Paradise on BBC1.
I am signing out for today. See all you lovely folk tomorrow. Postie will be picking up a parcel from me tomorrow so any gardening will be consigned to the front garden to make sure I don't miss him/her.
