@GardenerSuze - one of my favourite pix of Stob Dearg is from the Corbett across the road. It's a great viewpoint. The Wee Bookil is on the right - it's just two Munros, and a shorter walk. I think I did a few pix of an outing there in 2021. Stob Dearg adorns many a shortbread tin There's a longish run between Bridge of Orchy, up and past the Black Mount hills and Rannoch Moor, and Meall a Bhuiridh [ the Glencoe ski centre] and then you see the bulk of SD appearing on the left. It's hard to miss, even in cloud and fog.
I'll keep looking at your bro's site. Really lovely
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
February that year, I think , for that pic @Plantminded I have another [the classic view with the cottage] from the day I did the Big Bookil, but I altered it not long ago to show someone the route up, and stupidly didn't use a copy, so the original has a permanent big yellow loop on it!

I'm usually reasonably attentive with my photos, but I haven't been using that editing feature for long, and of course - I stupidly thought I could undo it.
Fortunately, I have it 'pre loop' in a frame, and on the wall in the back hall, so I pass it every day - many times

Do you mean the 'climbing' route up the front @punkdoc? I've never been brave enough to do it. There was a good item on The Adventure Show recently, where the girl did it with an experienced climber. Should be on iPlayer I think.
