It's like that now here @JennyJ, although not as windy as earlier. Having a bite to eat and then going out. I should have though of doing a washing, but the rain's to come back mid afternoon, and we're quite up to date with it. Typical  ;)
I keep food for ages unless it's looking really bad, but I try to use it all before it ever gets to that stage.
I only use the red milk, which doesn't seem to work when you freeze it.

Been looking for lampshades for the new house and wanted a clear glass globe, could I find one the right size anywhere - no.  Trawled the internet last night and found just the thing in Ik** I never go to Ik**!!!
Daughter just rang to say she is in Ik** and seen the lampshade did I want it?  Sometimes things just go the right way    :)

@herbaceous I also hate Ik**.  There was a programme on recently where they happily explained their design strategy to force people to visit every part of their store.  To me it creates a maze with no easily accessible shortcut to the exit.  As I also hate mazes, I feel trapped, it explains my feelings towards Ik**.

I believe the thing about not using old sunscreen, @B3, is that the active ingredient (the "factor 50" or whatever) decreases in efficacy over time - which is important, since protection against sun damage is what the product is for...

However, I think only low sugar jam or marmalade needs to be in the fridge; home-made jam with the same weight of sugar as fruit, keeps ages in the cupboard after opening.  And the amount of vinegar & sugar in pickles ought to enable them to keep forever.

I haven't been for a while but if you watch the staff, they scuttle through swing doors you wouldn't usually notice. These will get you straight to another department, although it might not be the one you're looking for.😒

There’s something the matter with me. I love IKEA. I love Christmas and I observe best before dates.

And, as a reason to be cheerful, I have just put 13 boxes of Christmas decorations in the shed.

My daughter made me go to Ik** twice @KT53 saying "Don't knock it 'til you've tried it" it was like one of those nightmares where you can't get out of a warehouse and you know the clowns are coming!
But it's an ill wind eh? Thankfully she loves it so I have my shade but I'm certainly never going back.
You are fine @BenCotto just different and thank goodness some people are willing to venture into that store otherwise the rest of us would be stuck........

I will go to IKEA if I'm going to be near one and want something specific. I don't like having to walk all around the shop to get to what I want though. And the nearest is probably 40 min or so drive so there's really no incentive to go there if I can get what I want/need somewhere else.

Our IKEA has maps showing the shortcuts...
