I know what you mean about praying for the rain @Braidman !
Every time they show rain coming from the west or south west on the weather map, you can guarantee that it will fizzle out just as it hits the area. Uncanny.

We seem to have quite a few on the forum from the Glawster area.  Glawster, for those not in the known, is the local equivalent of Gloucester as called by rugby fans in the 'Shed' at Kingsholm. :D
We also seem to have names designed to confuse none locals when they have to spell or pronounce them.  Quedgeley and Hucclecote being two lovely examples.
Although we've had no new snow since late Sunday afternoon, it's still around zero and the snow doesn't look like going anywhere soon.

bah humbug. The border collies terrified of it. She's obviously forgotten about it.

High wild edges.,she's got a posh coat. I took her out at 10 O clock last night. Wore the old mans wellies. It didn't actually feel cold. Went to bed at midnight, woken up at 2 by the old man (dog!) Spent the night on the sofa with him,and a hot water bottle.... for me . Second night in a row, seriously wondering how much longer I can do this 😒

Love the lights on the snow @Pete.8, great photos. It’s been vaguely threatening snow here and I rather hope it might just to see the 5 month old pup’s reaction.

OH flew into Manchester just before the airport snow chaos and is now in north London - hope she is similarly lucky flying home from there at the weekend since she just sent me this:

Still looking much the same here @Nollie
It was so beautiful and pure last night watching from the comfort of the sofa, but been out with pooch twice and it's very slushy now.
Main roads are clear. Still quite deep but drivable on the side roads.
Hope your OH arrives home safely and on time at the weekend.
It's should start warming up a little here in the next few days.
