@Obelixx 👍😊 thank you for the moral support! Last night's curry went down with clean plates, this morning's bacon sandwiches and last night's curry was washed up by the guests bless them..... That's unheard of until now!
Currently doing the first of the three Christmas dinners of the season....2 extra large chickens, stuffing, bread sauce, carrots, sprouts, Yorkshire's, goose fat roast spuds, parsnips in Clementine and honey and gravy..... pavlova to follow.....
Banished everyone from under my feet, the youngsters have gone to visit the most senior Womble....My lovely mother in law, with a plate of homemade sausage rolls. I've got classic FM on with carols to calm me and a glass of wine 🍷
The tree is finally up. OH nearly did his back in carrying it home, it's too big really, we put it up and did the lights and most of the decorations. Then a couple of hours later it fell down with a massive crash (too big for the stand). Only one - lovely but not precious - bauble damaged and we hadn't yet put the delicate glass ones on - phew! Now it's up again and lashed to the shelves behind, and the rest of the decorations are on. Keeping everything crossed it stays upright!

The street Advent windows are looking good and proving very popular with the locals, but I'll probably do a montage of all of them once they're all up.

Lovely @LG_. We always used to have a 6 foot tree, but that was when we had a bigger house, and it was also easy to get it in! We had French doors directly into the dining room, so it was just a case of lifting it up onto the deck and in the doors. Nice and straightforward
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I had a tree installing time like that with a customer of mine last week @LG_ it was a very funny time with their daughter and I laying on our fronts under the tree either side while two others tried to straighten it so we could tighten the stand! Let's just say we certainly didn't get it right first time! But looking at your gorgeous tree, the effort is more than worth the struggle!!
Welcome to the festive thread @PassTheFox and thank you for sharing the picture of your stunning tree!! Lovely and festive in red and gold.
