Hi Tui. I’m glad you liked the funny as well seeing shapes in the Clouds. I always see things like that. 😁

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Good to see you @Pat E … it’ll take time for the meds to make a difference … it has to build up … but one day you’ll realise that you feel more like yourself again, instead of like your own shadow. 😊 glad they’re giving you a thorough going over 👍

    @D0rdogne_Damsel B&B
sounds a great idea … there are some great agencies who do a lot of the ‘paperwork’ side of things for you … an important proviso is to ensure that you can cover yourself with reliable back-up should the need arise … someone who really could step in, should you be taken ill or are called away whatever … but as long as you have the support … 😃

Gracious me, I’ve just realised yesterday was the ninth anniversary of my last day at work … I celebrated by letting off a big firework … doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun 🤸‍♀️

Thanks for the reassurance Dove. I have been wondering when I’d feel better.

  • It can take several weeks @Pat E, or even a few months, depending on how long it takes to get your thyroxine levels back up to what’s right for you. We’re all a bit different. What dose are you on at the moment?  I take 150mcgms daily.

    Morning all.

If I were @D0rdogne_Damsel I would stick with Chateau de G. I've done B&B and it's hard work when people don't stay long. DD knows that anyway as she's done it before. French law us so on the side of tenants that if you get bad ones who trash the flat or don't pay it's almost impossible to do anything about it.

Good heavens @Dovefromabove! Nine years already. I remember your posts and counting the days.

I'm rather stiff this morning from planting daffodils yesterday.

  • Good morning everyone,  woken up by heavy rain and loud rolling thunder.  . Looks like another grey day.
Great to see you @Pat E
Have as good a day as possible, everyone.

  • How’s the leg/ankle/foot @Allotment Boy … are you able to get about a bit more?

    Morning folks.

I have had my morning cuppa and reading time in bed today as it’s a tad chilly. (Another few pounds saved on heating)

There seemed to be a ridiculous amount of fireworks last night. I can only conclude that they haven’t seen their gas bills yet.

I must do some baking later as I have so many apples to use. I think I’ll stew a load to freeze and then make as many crumbles as my ingredients allow.

    Have a pleasant Sunday all.

All those apples sound delicious, AuntyRach! Don’t grow them, but might have to buy some now that you’ve made my mouth water. Two meals stick in my mind from times past. A friend in Utah made us a breakfast of German pancakes with apple sauce. The German pancakes turned out to be Yorkshire puddings in all but name, served up with lightly spiced home bottled apples. Another friend made a big pot of stewed apples with tiny sweet dumplings cooked in it. I’m now drooling rather a lot, will go and add Bramleys and vegetable suet to my shopping list!
Quite a few firework parties last night, but thankfully, quite early in the evening. Glanced out at 10.30pm and all was quiet, and the badger was eating his supper quite happily.

Grey and wet out here today. However, it looks like it stayed dry enough last night for the ancient Tar Barrels festival to go ahead last night in nearby Ottery St Mary. I’ve only been once, that was enough, extremely scary! Picture from local paper.
