I thought it spread rapidly by seed and could become invasive if an eye isn't kept on it but I only started growing it last year so it hasn't had time yet. I might curse it in 5 years time.
Yes scilla siberica Fire. I became interested in them after seeing them in the garden of a friend who holds the national collection so bought some from her, she has a nursery. She told me they seeded readily. I also bought bulbs last year and took particular notice when the flowers turned to seed. She was right. See below copied from web and link to GW mag.
'Squill is a spring ephemeral, emerging early and blooming right after the snow melts. It is a hardy plant and cold tolerant, and it has historically been a favourite of gardeners for its striking blue flowers. Unfortunately, squill naturalizes quite easily, spreading quickly by self-seeding and bulb offshoots. Because of its rapid spread and condition tolerance, this non-native species has the potential to become an invasive plant.'
@FireLoves to be tight to the base of a wall in fun sun.Have seen it growing in wide gaps in paths. Can be shy to flower if growing conditions are not right. Can look messy out of season. I no longer grow it but lovely picked with Jasmine Nudiflorum in a small vase.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I'm very envious of you all with your lists of bulbs and plantings. My soil is unworkable at the moment since the summer heat, you need a pick axe to to get into it, and what with a squirrel and NDN's chickens grubbing up my existing ones not much help! I look forward to seeing all your lovely pictures in the spring!
@Fire Should have said Iris unguicularis Mary Barnard. I have picked a few for the house at Christmas in some years. Because they are so messy and reluctant to give up on the old leaves I eventually gave up.

Scilla Siberica? @Uff
Mine don't seem to self seed but it could be that the seedlings are indistinguishable from grass

@floralies Perhaps the Iris I have mentioned above might be a thought when you can get into your soil. I think it would love your growing conditions.
