I've picked up a few bits mainly from Lidl - tulips .  I am trying to cut down this year its expensive but I say this every year .

I've just pop down into town this evening looking for bulbs, I seem to of missed Aldi bulbs ? anyone else seen Aldi have bulbs in yet ? B&M have just got a new batch in so may get some from there .

I'll be ordering majority of my bulbs from Parkers wholesale , and when farmer gracy have a mega sale on I can't resist. I use Anglia bulbs if I want top quality big bulbs.

I have 250 scilla siberica awaiting my attention and have had for a month. Blooming things will be sprouting before I get them in.

I was interested to hear a podcast that said scilla siberica don't really bulk up. I was wondering. I love them, and have put in a lot over the years. As Stephen Ryan said "if you want a lot of scilla you'll have to plant a lot of scilla".  I feel a bit disappointed that don't multiply. In the UK, at least. Such a lovely blue.

Loads!!!!  I absolutely love spring bulbs, so I've gone a bit mad this year. Mine arrived mid September, from Peter Nyssen.

A few have gone into the ground, but most are for pots, trying to get a nice successional pot display from Feb through to May, 4 months of colour.  I've planted everything except the Tulips, which I'll do next month.

Here's what I've planted in the ground (most are to add to existing ones planted last year, to extend or bulk up the displays):
20 Allium purple sensation and 3 schubertii
    15 Erythronium pagoda
    50 Camassia leichtinii caerulea
    50 Crocus etruscus zwanenburg
    10 Imperial fritillaries 'aurora'
Daffs: 30 cornish king and 30 barenwyn

    And into pots:
100 Iris reticulata (harmony and purple hill)
300 daffs (Rijnveldt early, sunlight sensation, mando, golden bells, baby moon, snow baby and minnow)
30 Scilla (mostly siberica, and a few peruviana)
250 Muscari (botryoides superstar and valerie finnis)

And for next month, I have about 400 tulips to go into pots:
Cairo, clusiana cynthia, margarita, amazing parrot, black parrot, super parrot, burgundy lace, double beauty of apeldoorn, dutch dancer, akebono and disneyland paris.

Didn't have good luck with about 2/3 of the stuff from Gracy this year so... whatever turns up at Wilko or Sainsbury's. So far I have:

Need more and more alliums (allia?) as they do look fabulous with roses, don't they?

I thought it spread rapidly by seed and could become invasive if an eye isn't kept on it but I only started growing it last year so it hasn't had time yet. I might curse it in 5 years time.

I save quite  a few bulbs from last year even tulips if the bulbs are in reasonable condition . Peppermint stick is a nice species tulip I've got some in the back garden , I planted 60 lady jane similar to PStick in the front last autumn bought from farmer Gracy saved a fortune on them .

I usually go crazy on alliums they are my favourite bulb none took my fancy this year though . Allium Schirbertii is a one season allium.
