When I zoomed in on Simone's photo last night I thought ash, but not so sure now. The trunk looks like beech. Please don't climb up it for a close- up though, @Simone_in_Wiltshire! Any fallen leaves?
@dannyking68@Uff@Woodgreen I found another picture of the Raywood Ash tree. It doesn't look always the same. This was taken last year at the end of October.
It seems there are forms of ash trees which colour gold in autumn. I wonder if it's one of those? They certainly make beautiful avenues. Maybe 'Raywood' was planted with a gold form as well, much as green and copper beeches are sometimes planted alternately. Or does it turn gold before the dark red takes over?
Edited to add: I looked again at the photos and see that it is the same tree. It must give a lot of pleasure to passers by seeing the gold turn eventually to dark red. Beautiful.
I think most ash trees are a lovely lime green in spring and yellow in the autumn, the woodland ash trees that is. The fancy ones are bound to be a different colour. As I mentioned in the Raywood ash thread, I'd never seen that one before. It's really lovely. I'd love to see one.

Take a look at the thread titled 'Help'.
I think yours is possibly the same tree?

Here is a zoomed in version of the tree. If you look at https://www.deepdale-trees.co.uk/trees/2012/10-Fraxinus-Raywood.html#:~:text=Fraxinus angustifolia , it's the same.
