I drove up Glen Nevis this afternoon and just happen to spot this splash of autumn colour of the lower slopes of Ben Nevis. The mist was coming down and I couldn't see the top.
Looks as though I shall be going back to Glen Loy perhaps tomorrow which is where I found this bracken. I'll pick the stem and turn it over. I found a fungi up there that needs a second and clearer picture to ID it.
So much beauty guys! I too want to go to Scotland!! Euonymus Europeus is abundant here in Luxembourg, if I go forest wandering I will post a pic of Luxembourgish autumn. The best season here.
Wow, some fabulous trees, woodland art, photography and some spooky colours!
My E. alatus flowers but also hasn’t ever produced fruit, the autumn colour of europaeus is gentler but it is always laden with berries and japonica is a reliable berry producer but evergreen.
Nandina domestica also evergreen but with winter red colouring which is just starting:
Some autumnal echinaceas:
But my autumn colour de jour is green!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

I'm impressed @Papi Jo
Is that your Virginia Creeper Fire? Gorgeous.
Another bracken one from me but if you look at the back frond see natures wonder.
It's real, honestly. I've never seen a frond like that ever. A perfect half and half.
What's going on?🤔
Edited to add: how lucky that you spotted it @Uff, and could post it on here.

Not my garden but the local park this morning. Gorgeous colours. I love this time of year.
