As I'm not allowed to go digging, and would struggle anyway, photography remains my no. 1 hobby.. - nice 'n easy - so here are some for today, taken in heavy rain.. Not many roses I'm afraid..
Sorbus vilmorinii.. ..the top of 'Mutabilis'.. it's about 8 x 6'.. Gaura 'Pink Dwarf'.. nice and compact.. ..last flower on Anemone 'Honorine Jobert'.. Pennisetum orientale, a bit bedraggled.. Chamaecyparis 'Van Pelt's Blue'.. slow, narrow and blue.. with Hakonechloa.. Rhodanthemum 'Tangiers'..
Hi all, I’ve been awol for a while, trying to deal with very elderly parents, one of whom is very frail and has dementia and the other one struggling to cope. Still they stubbornly refuse any help, physical, financial or otherwise so my sister and I are tearing our hair out! So sorry if I’ve missed or failed to reply to anything.
Glad to hear the good news Marlorena and hope all those suffering from lurgies are recovering. Lovely to see so much still in bloom. Here too, plenty of buds still forming although I stopped deadheading some weeks ago.

@Nollie ..such lovely yellows and apricots... I'm sorry to hear about your parents struggling, it's always a worry as to what to do for the best.. doubly difficult being so far away I should think..
Thanks M, it’s tough when there is not a lot we can do, but my sister lives nearby and is keeping an ever-closer eye on them so that helps.
I do love those warm tones in the west garden, so cheery in autumn, but here’s a few from the east..

Right, better get back to that long list of gardening jobs, including yet another new rose bed! I keep hoping suppliers delay my bare root deliveries for as long as possible, but the poly is (just about) still standing so most will probably end up overwintering in pots there.

LoS is one of my best roses too.. although I've had to cut it back to keep manageable..
Just checking the weather until end of the month, this will be another November here without a single frost, or at least it's all above freezing...

The Beales offer was very tempting at £10 a go.. imagine Austin's doing that.. and I've still not received any calendar..

@Fran IOM
..thanks so much.. !
My RV Roger order arrived already, and so well-packed. Bearing in mine these were all under £11 each, I am so happy with the quality.
