    Maybe a house swap? Not for me though I add quickly.  We did this with a family from Mallorca yonks ago, we arrived at theirs to find an untrained dog, vicious cat and chickens to tend, none of which they'd mentioned. Roses would be a doddle in comparison. It was an ideal set up though, we swapped cars too.

    Ouch. I have no dog, no cats, rats, geese, hampsters, chickens or bats. Just roses, some wild bees and some frogs that come and go from the pond as they please....

    Crazy that people would leave for you animals to look after and feed without mentioning it ahead of time  @Tack

    Yes, I think I might have to get Chandos in my life this winter. Not sure I have much of a choice. :D
