Love the idea of training snails, @cooldoc

Some of those persicas are really nice, aren't they?

@Marlorena Nice climber Chawton Cottage  The centre of the flower and the stamens are attractive too.

Just two days of mild weather has brought in tons of aphids on my roses :'(
Though I had finished pruning last month, I'm yet to feed the roses - a task for the weekend.

I've seen that photo before but it's always worth seeing again, one of the prettiest of roses as its best, as it is there.. @Busy-Lizzie

Lucky you @Busy-Lizzie you got two gardens yourself..
Actually, @cooldoc, I would much prefer to have just one garden that I could care for and plan and see in every season. It's a bit too complicated and at the moment I am missing seeing the daffodils I planted in my French garden. But OH wants to be in England. I would too but all my family are in France. The English garden isn't big and there's no more room for roses though I have squeezed in another 10 roses. Peter Beales is so near yet now, thanks to Brexit, I can't take roses back to France where I have a much bigger garden. I think I've planted 19 roses there so far. I had over 70 at my old house. Don't think I've room for that many though!

Thank you @Marlorena and @Lizzie27. I've no room for one now.

Lots of aphids on the new potted roses in my poly, unmolested by predators, so I’m busy squishing.

Well I found the mystery bourbon @Tack, allegedly similar looking but better than MIP in terms of health and repeat, it was Deuil de Dr Reynaud. But it seems to be pretty much out of commerce so bit of a dead end, sorry.

That’s outrageous re the blatant profiteering of Munstead Wood, still can’t believe DA discontinued one of my best of their roses!

Gorgeous. My mother has four of this rose (her garden is pretty big and funny-shaped) and the sight of your old CB makes me quite homesick, @Busy-Lizzie.
